Happy Halloween!
Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year and i believe it's mostly thanks to my mom because she loved Halloween so much. She would decorate and trick or treating was always a blast! Back in the 90s/00s it was a wild time to trick or treat. We would have a huge group of the fam together, go to multiple neighboorhoods and be walking for HOURS! We would start around 5pm and would go to probably 11pm? All i know is that it was daytime when we'd start and deep into the night when we ended and we walked ALOT.
The night was so long that we had a checkpoint at my uncle's mom's house where we would rest, check out our spoils and trade candy before setting back out for the rest of the night. i remember one lady, every year, would rent a cotton candy machine and make fresh cotton candy for all the kids!
Those truly were the days and i miss it so badly. i wish, as an adult, i could relive that joy.
Now Fall/Halloween for me looks like, pumpkin spice coffees, pumpkin bread, more incenses, candles, decorating, enjoying the cool weather, reading and less work life.

most of the costumes listed are from when i was a wee lass, although i've been a witch many years into being an older teen and even as an adult. for the longest time now being a witch was my go to because i identify as one. however, last year a friend had a vampire/goth tea party so of course i put a costume together and ended up really liking the look. so this year will be my second year dressing up as a vampire :3

even though i really love halloween, i'm actually a scared cat! i can't watch any scary movies or games. i can still do horror, but just in a softer/more thriller kind of way.
